Stay longer
Every story comes from more than one visit. If a place needs a second season, it gets one.
Let the photograph lead
Every frame is credited, and every caption says what the photograph shows. Pictures are not decoration for the text.
Correct in public
When we get something wrong, the correction goes at the foot of the story with the date it was made.
The Dispatch began as a printed newsletter for one neighbourhood and still behaves like one: a small desk, a short list of places we keep going back to, and a preference for the second visit over the first impression.
